About Professional Window Cleaning…

First, and foremost, we have been providing high quality services for over 20 years!

There are literally hundreds of new companies in town, but you can surely put your trust a company with the experience and time we’ve been around.

PROFESSIONAL WINDOW CLEANING

WE DO NOT SUBCONTRACT – EVER!

Why does this mater to you, the customer?

Workers Comp Insurance covers major lawsuits and medical expenses in case a worker gets injured or even dies on your property.  Without the right insurance, you can be liable for a major lawsuit simply because you chose the wrong company that was offering services at a cheaper rate.

This is by far the MOST important question you should ask any company coming to your business or home!

If a company claims to have Workers Comp Insurance, please CHECK THE POLICY & CHECK IT AGAINST THEIR PAYROLL.

Sadly there are countless window cleaning companies that pay “piece work”, sub contract work, commission work, to their workers.  These types of workers are NOT COVERED under Workers Comp Insurance.

Insurance companies will audit payroll to make certain they are not paying people outside of the company.  Some companies, sadly a lot of our competitors, will circumvent insurance by having some of their employees on payroll, and some of their employees getting paid 1099 work, or sub-contract work.

How do you, the customer know this information without taking too much of your time and effort.  Even if you ask a company, most likely they will lie to you and say they are covered, and even present a certificate of insurance.

Here are 2 ways to know if a company is skipping on WC Insurance:

  1. If the price a company gives you is significantly cheaper than another companies prices, this is a sign they are not paying for Workers Comp Insurance.  They make money no mater the price they give you because they are only giving the tech a percentage of the overall price.
  2. Ask the company to show you the company payroll register and make certain the people coming to your property are on the register.  If they send an employee who is not listed on a payroll register, or they give you push-back on this request, then they are likely not covered by Workers Comp Insurance.

Professional Window Cleaning carries $1M Workers Comp Insurance (Most companies have a $500,000 policy)

100% of our labor force is on our payroll

WE HAVE $5M GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE

+ $1M Auto Insurance

Again, why does this mater to you, the customer?

General Liability Insurance covers major lawsuits in the case a worker breaks something on your property, or damages your property.  On a commercial property, this could be significant damage like leaving a water hose running on the roof, and flooding an entire building.  Imagine hiring a company that does not have the right coverage to protect your property!

If you hire a company that subcontracts, then their subcontractors are NOT COVERED under their GL or Auto Policy!

Most window cleaning companies have either a $1M or 2$ GL policy.  We carry $5M to make certain our customers and our work is guaranteed.

Without the right insurance, you can be liable for a major lawsuit simply because you chose the wrong company that was offering services at a cheaper rate.

What about auto insurance?  Why is this important to the customer?

First, if you hire a company that subcontracts, then their subcontractors are NOT COVERED under their GL or Auto Policy!

If you hire a smaller window cleaning company who offered you a great price, more than likely they are driving around a personal vehicle that is not commercially insured.  If an accident occurs with their vehicle on your property, or en route to your property and they are not covered, you are subjecting you or your company to a lawsuit.

Is it really worth saving $50, $100, or even $1000 to put your company at risk?

Make certain the company you choose hire has the proper insurance.  Insurance is very expensive, and it is commonly skipped for small companies trying to make profits.

This is by far the MOST important question you should ask any company coming to your business or home!
